Ok, Blade & Soul gold spammers are getting out of hand. I think this is a bad player behavior. Faction chat went from fun to unreadable.!!!
They have buckled down on my server and are spamming with a giant wave of bots. Everyone is reaching the 50 block limit, and then even more spammers show up.
It is out of control at this point. There are over 50 on the Cerulean faction for Mushin. I cleared out my block moments ago list to find out some that were blocked a couple of days ago are still spamming. Hit the 50 limit within 5 minutes.I feel sorry for everyone that has to sit in queue while the bot spammers are taking up slots.
I can’t believe this isn’t a more commonly discussed fix. User made chat filters. The spammers won’t know which messages aren’t getting through so they won’t know when to change them. The downside is that not all users will have the tech expertise to make good regexes but that’s what guides are for isn’t it?
It would be rather difficult to abuse if it required something like a hundred players to report him. There could be other safeguards put in place as well. You could require that the report was actually done from global chat.It would take an entire guild to ban the guy. I don’t see many people going that far.
This type of situation is like walking on eggshells for them. If they setup an automated system to ban spammers, someone innocent will always get caught in the fray and cause problems for them. It sucks, but making a tab of chat for say, party, whisper, and clan is my solution for it. Faction chat since launch has been full of racism, and general toxicity, never see region chat later in the game, and party finder is useless with the dungeon lobby.
I’ve heard from people that have toons in both factions that Cerulean faction chat is generally (not always) less cancerous than Crimson chat, and that they find Cerulean chat more enjoyable/bearable. Not trying to toot our horns or anything tho. Oh no, I definitely agree. I started off as Cerulean, and ended up switching because my friend hated the outfit. I regret switching, and can’t wait for the 7 day lockout period to be over.
